About The Mzansi Post
Updated

The Mzansi Post is an independent guide for people in South Africa who are dealing with SASSA grants, NSFAS funding, government jobs, Home Affairs, driving licences, tax, UIF and everyday money. We explain how each process works, step by step, and send you to the official channel that can actually help.
Who writes it
Every guide is written by TMP Team, the editorial team of The Mzansi Post. We are an independent team, not a government department, a bank or an agency.
How we work
- Official sources first. We check every amount, date, rule and contact number against the official website, the Government Gazette or an official document from the agency.
- No figures that go out of date. For amounts and dates that change every year, such as grant amounts and payment dates, we link to the official page instead of copying them. Each guide shows when we last changed it.
- Official contacts only. We publish a phone number, WhatsApp number or USSD code only if the agency prints it on its own website.
- Light on data. Pages are small, so they open quickly on a phone and use little data.
- Tools that stay on your phone. Our free tools run on your device. Nothing you type is sent to us or saved.
Read our editorial policy for the details, including how we keep pages correct and how we fix mistakes.
What we don’t do
- We can’t process applications, check anyone’s status, or speed up a payment or a document.
- We will never ask for your ID number, bank details, a one-time PIN or a password.
- We don’t run ads or affiliate links, and no agency or company pays us for what we write.

We are not part of SASSA, NSFAS, Home Affairs, SARS, the Department of Employment and Labour or any other government body, and we can't process applications or check anyone's status.
