General information, not advice
Our guides give general information to help you understand a process and prepare. They are not legal, financial or tax advice, and they don’t replace advice from a qualified person about your own situation.
Not a government website
The Mzansi Post is an independent guide. We are not part of SASSA, NSFAS, Home Affairs, SARS, the Department of Employment and Labour or any other government body, and we can't process applications or check anyone's status. We will never ask for your ID number, bank details, OTP or password.Only the official agency can decide whether you qualify, how much you get, or whether your application succeeds. Its decision always applies, even if it differs from what our guides say.
Accuracy
We check our guides against official sources and show when we last updated them. But rules, fees and dates change, sometimes without notice, and we can’t guarantee that every page is complete or up to date at all times. Before you act, check the details with the official agency, especially for deadlines and payments. If you find a mistake, please tell us.
Our tools
Our tools give general information based on the rules explained on each tool’s page. They only check what you type against those rules: they can’t confirm your details with any agency. Only the official agency can do that.
Links to other websites
We link to official websites so you can apply or check details at the source. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for their content or availability.
Our content
The text on this website belongs to The Mzansi Post. You’re welcome to link to any page and to share it. Please don’t copy whole pages to other websites. The photos belong to their photographers and are used under the licences of the stock photo libraries they come from.
