    We collect as little as we can. You can read every page without an account, and there are no forms on this site.

    What we never ask for

    We will never ask for your ID number, bank details, a one-time PIN, a password or copies of your documents, by email, SMS, WhatsApp or anywhere on this site.

    Our tools, such as the SA ID number check, run entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent to us or anyone else, not saved on your device, and not added to the web address. When a tool makes a file for you, such as the Word file from the CV maker, your browser makes it on your device and saves it where you choose.

    The site search, under the Search button at the top of every page, works the same way. Your browser downloads parts of our search index from this website and searches them on your device. What you type is not sent to us, saved or added to the web address, and we don’t record what people search for.

    Analytics and cookies

    Google Analytics

    We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people read, which official links they open and which tools they use, so we know what to improve. In South Africa and most other countries it can set two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which Google says last two years by default.

    • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics doesn't set these cookies.
    • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics doesn't set them either.
    • We don't send what you type into a tool, or the part of the web address after a "?", except standard campaign tags.
    • Advertising features are off: we don't show ads.

    You can also block Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

    Hosting

    Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. Like any web host, it processes technical details of each visit, such as your IP address and browser, to deliver the pages and block attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

    If you email us

    If you email hello@themzansipost.com, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to read and answer your message, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.

    Our guides link to official websites, such as SASSA, NSFAS, Home Affairs and SARS. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

    Your rights

    You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, such as an email you sent us, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email us at the address above.

    If you believe your personal information has been processed in a way that breaks the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you can complain to the Information Regulator.

    Changes to this policy

    We update this page whenever we change how the site works, for example if we add or remove an analytics service. The date at the top shows the last change.
